Missing Ryan

Today is 7 years since the accident in which we lost our Ryan. I will always be thankful for the 16 years we had with him, but miss that smile and flash of red hair everyday. I am thankful for the health of the girls that were in the accident with him we love them (special hugs and kisses to our Sammi Fay) We are thankful for family and friends who think of us at this time. We love you all.

Family Camping Weekend

Aunt Bird and Janet
We had a great weekend with Brad's Whole Family. We where able to go to Settlement Canyon near Tooele and camp for the weekend (the previous week there were forest fires, so we were not sure if we would be able to go, but thanks to great fire fighters, we were). We borrowed a trailer (remember from May, I may never go back to tents, love the trailers). We had a great evening Friday, but woke to rain Saturday morning (again, love trailers), but it cleared up about 11am and the rest of the weekend was just beautiful. We love spending time with family, we missed our kids (in Vegas), but had a wonderful surprise when Brad's Aunt Bird and Uncle Arnold showed up. Our Niece and her husband brought up a few of their horses, so a few rides were done, a couple of great walks and of course, Brad brought his bike for a couple of rides.
I could just take pictures of the kids all day long and a few of them would let me (Brook and Bailey).

Brooke, out for the night!!

On the way home, Brad and I stopped at the Great Salt Lake. I have driven by at least 300 times or more, but have never stopped and put my feet in and Brad had not since he was a kid, so we stopped and did just that. You have to walk about 1/2 mile to the water (the lake is really low) and then you can wade out for about as far. The water was warm and we had fun.

Fall is fast approaching, but we hope to get in one more camping trip before the snow falls.

Just Jane

I love this one of Jane. She was just NOT getting tired of me taking pictures (can you believe that of an 11 year old girl). I took this one on the back of an old truck in Lehi. She looks (and is) just beautiful and sweet.

Spring in Central Park.

It's late, about midnight, but I can't sleep. I was going through some photos I took in NYC and came across this one I took in the Park, It was raining lightly, and the tree was just, well wonderful. For fun, I am entering a few pictures in the Utah State Fair. It will be fun to see what happens.

Last Race of the Year.

Brad with Mike and Kevin

Well its over!!! Racing season is over for the year!! There may be a stage race or two (Moab again??) but the Intermountain Cup Series is over. We were able to make every race this year except for Jackson Hole, WY. Brad gave that race up because our friend, John Moss came up from Vegas with about 12 other guys to ride bikes with Brad for 3 days. They had a blast and are now planning this as an annual event.
The last race was at The Canyons ski resort and it was a beautiful day, hot, but beautiful. The race started at noon and Brad's Mom, his sister Sandy and her husband Marty came up to support Brad.
