A New Year

It has been a long time since I sat down and blogged, looking at my last post we were just starting to get the winter snow, and now my tulips are pusing their way up. Don't get me wrong, winter is not over, but Spring is just around the corner.

We have had a wonder winter. Christmas was wonderful and quite, with just us and the kids, but we did enjoy it. The kids received some fun gifts, David a video camera for his helmet (for biking) and Sammi all the dvd's of Little House on the Praire. Brad received a vita mix blender and he just loves it. He makes the best smoothies now and is always willing to make them.

The new year brought changes in our family. Brad and I became empty nesters!!! Yes the kids moved out. Sammi and David found a really cute home in Orem (about 20 miles from us) and are now roommates and really loving it. They are now so much closer to School and friends and a much larger Young Adult Ward.

Brad and I took a trip to Seattle in February. We were able to visit a lot of my family and a few friends. Our First morning we did our normal trip down to the Market and had breakfast at Lowells. We also went and saw the Gum Wall. Yes I did say Gum Wall, just look at the pictures. It was something to see

There were of course all of the fresh fruit and veggies and some tulips out. I love going to the Market in the Summer when all of the fresh flowers are out. Maybe another tipe this summer would be called for.

We were also able to take a quick overnight trip to the Washington Coast. We did not know that is was the lowest tide of the year and there were thousands and thousands of people for the razor clam dig. We were able to find a hotel room ( I think it was the last one) and them go out and watch all of the people digging. It was really fun.
